Theme Documentation
Extract (Unzip) the theme download package. Within the download package you'll find the following file structure and contents.

Zipped folder knowledgepress.zip to be used for installation through WordPress admin panel. Folder knowledgepress/ to be used for FTP installation. Open index.html located in documentation/ folder to access theme documentation.
You can install the theme in two ways:
Extract knowledgepress.zip file and upload the extracted folder to /wp-content/themes/ folder on your server.
If you are migrating from a theme which used the native featured images functionality of WordPress. Please use Regenerate Thumbnails to regenerate thumbnails for Innocence.
You can import demo content using XML file (optional).
To import demo content, navigate to Tools -> Import -> WordPress -> Chose File select XML flile located in theme donload packafe under import folder. Proced with uploading the file and selecting author and content options.
Theme supports one menu location for custom WordPress menus - Primary Navigation. Menu supports 2 levels of dropdown.
To setup the menus, navigate to Apperance -> Menus page. Enter a name for your menu and add links to the menu by using the options given on the left sidebar. You can manage your menus using the drag and drop functionality. After setting up your menu, select the menu you just created from the theme locations dropdown box and hit the "Save" button.
Theme has 5 custom widgets and supports two side bars: Left or Right Sidebar and Footer Sidebar.
To setup a widgetized area, navigate to Apperance -> Widgets and use the drag and drop interface to drop widgets into the desired widgetized areas.
Recent Posts widget allowing increased customization to display recent posts from multiple categories.

Twitter widget will enable you to add recent tweets from your twitter account to a widgetized area. You can customize the number of tweets and the follow me from the widget settings.
Flickr widget will enable you to add photos from your Flickr account to a widgetized area. You can customize the number of photos displayed from the widget settings.
Contact Info widget will enable you to add contact info to side bar. You can customize the contact info from the widget settings.
Live search requires site permalinks to be set to anything but "Default" setting.
To setup permalinks, navigate to Settings -> Permalinks and set permalinks to one of the highlighted choices shown bellow.
Set up custom "Home" page template.
To set up the homepage create a new page by navigating to Pages > Add New. Give this page a title (you do not have to include any content unless you wish to do so). Select the "Home" template from the Page Attributes section and click “Publish”.
Once done, navigate to Settings > Reading and configure the “Front Page Displays” setting. Select the static page option and choose the page you just created as your front page. Your homepage is now created and can be configured under Appearance>>Theme Options>>Home.
Home page has 4 unique content sections:
Theme comes with a custom theme options panel "Theme Options" located under "Appearance" menu.
Content Layout: Select main content and sidebar alignment.
Logo: Upload your own logo or change your logo.
Favicon: Upload your own favicon.
Header Title: Enter header title.
Header Tagline: Enter header tagline (Shown on all pages excet 'Home' page template).
Search Bar: Add search bar to header. (Applies to all pages except Home page template)
Google Analytics: Enter your Google analytics code (ie "UA-24189019-1").
Copyright: Enter your footer copyright information.
CSS Code: Enter your custom CSS code here to override styling CSS.
Theme Color: Select theme color.
Main Body Text: Select body font, size and color, this font is used for all body text.
Navigation: Select main navigation font replacement and size.
Headings: Select header font replacement (H1, H2, H3, H4, H5, H6 tags).
Settings for "Home" page template.
Hero Image Upload: Upload home page hero background image (overrides background color). Min recommended size 1500px x 900px.Settings for "Knowledge Base" page template.
Articles Per Category: Select number of knowledge base articles per category.
Article Excerpt Length: Specify article excerpt length displayed on "Articles" page template and search page.
Author Box: Display author info box below article.
Comments Closed: Suppress 'Comments are closed' message.
Add social icons to footer: Enter full URL, ie 'http://facebook.com/username'.
Contact Form Email Address: Enter the email address where want to receive emails from the contact form or leave blank to use default admin email..
Contact Form Subject: Enter the subject for the contact form or leave blank to use default subject.
Theme comes with 7 custom page templates. To set one of these pages up go to Pages > Add New > in here you enter the title, content and then go to the Page Attributes > Template > and choose your page template.
Page with links to all your archived entries, arranged to form the main gateway into your past articles.
Blog style page displaying all knowledge base articles.
Displays contact form, the form uses by default admin email or you can specify alternate email address and subject under theme options.
FAQ page template displays FAQ articles and categories. To create a FAQ post go to FAQ>>Add New, enter post title, enter post content and save. FAQ page template can display FAQ posts grouped into categories, create categories under FAQ>>Categories" and asign FAQ post to these categories.
Full width page template (no sidebar).
Home page template is a custom front page, page options settings are located under Appearance>>Theme Options. To set the page as front page for your site go to Settings>>Reading>>Front page displays, select "A static page" and set the page under "Posts Page".
Knowledge Base page template displays Knowledge Base articles (posts) and categories, page options settings are located under Appearance>>Theme Options>>Knowledge Base.
The theme supports the use of different post formats in order to change the appearance of your content. If you are familiar to tumblr, the concept is similar. Theme supportes "Standard" and "Video" post formats.
Standard post displays title and post content on articles or search page. Go to Post>>Add New, enter post title, enter post content, under "Format" metabox select "Standard" and save.
Image post displays title, featured image and post content on articles or search page. Go to Post>>Add New, enter post title, under "Format" metabox select "Image", under "Featued Image" metabox upload your image and save.
Video post displays title, YouTube or Vimeo video and post content on articles or search page. Go to Post>>Add New, enter post title, under "Format" metabox select "Video". This will reveal "Video Post Settings" metabox, enter YouTube or Vimeo embed code and save.
Shortcodes help you to create additional column layouts, tabs, sliders, infoboxes and quotes inside a page or a post editor. You can copy shorecodes templates below and paste it directly to the page/post editor.
